The existing app had accessibility issues, security risks during important flows, and several unintuitive features.

A newly revamped YouTrip, with a clear interface, appropriate measures for security, and a detailed, intuitive section of the user's spendings.

I dove deep into researching the app and users by generating interview surveys. With enough analysis, user personas and journey maps were created to better empathise with users.




Continuous iterations were made based on feedback from usability testing sessions after each prototype was completed.

Takeaways
As a group, we spent more time on ideation and research before jumping into prototyping. In hindsight, it helped us reduce many overlooked details. This led to a smoother and more efficient process overall. Taking more time to plan instead of rushing to execute turned out better for us, and moving forward, it is a viable approach.
